Ostrenga's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Sun Prairie Varsity Victory Over Janesville Craig

It came down to the wire on Wednesday, with Cardinals taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the 7th innings that sealed their victory over Janesville Craig. 

The game was tied at four with Sun Prairie Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh. Carter Wambach opened the Sun Prairie Frame with a double to the outfield. A little small ball get the runner to third, and then Addison Ostrenga singled on a 3-1 count facing a drawn in infield, got a hard grounder past the shortstop scoring the winning run.

In the first inning, Janesville Craig got their offense started when Isaac Stried singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. They would add 2 more in the second and from then on the Cardinal defense shut them down.
Sun Prairie Varsity put up four runs in the fourth inning. Sun Prairie Varsity's big bats in the inning were led by walks by Jackson Hunley, Durlin Radlund and by Brady Stevens, and a groundout by Ostrenga.

Ethan Petsch got the start for Sun Prairie Varsity. The fireballer surrendered four runs on three hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two. Jackson Huntly would come in in relief and pitch 5.2 innings and secure the win

Aiden Schenk was on the pitcher's mound for Janesville Craig. The hurler went three and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out two. Patick Schork threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.

Ostrenga, Drew Urban, Carter Wambach, Carson Shepard, and Davis Hamilton each managed one hit to lead Sun Prairie Varsity.
